Majorero Boat. A vessel with history in the north of Fuerteventura

The Barco Majorero – Glass Bottom Boat is a vessel closely linked to the maritime history of northern Fuerteventura and the trajectory of Nortour. Built in 1990 in a shipyard in Palma de Mallorca, it was custom-designed for our company, reflecting its origins. a unique way of understanding maritime transport and the onboard experience.

It is a wooden vessel, 19 meters long and 5 meters wide, designed to accommodate up to 150 passengers. Its design incorporates a glass bottom, a distinctive feature that allows for viewing the seabed during certain activities.

The Barco Majorero is meticulously maintained, with constant improvements and renovations that ensure its proper functioning and safety on board. The bow and main deck were renovated in 2015, and more recently, in 2024, the complete renovation of the engine room, hull and bridge deck.

For decades, the Barco Majorero has been part of the experience for those who visit Corralejo and wish to explore Isla de Lobos, through our service of Ferry to Isla de Lobos, becoming a reference point for maritime transport in the area and an expression of the Majorera identity, closely linked to its maritime tradition.
